FALL CYCLING ACCESSORIES

Riding through Fall mostly comes down to being prepared. We all know about the typical northwest rain-riding essentials like waterproof gear, fenders, and helmet covers, but it doesn’t rain all the time. While there are definitely some more hardcore riders who never put their bikes away, a lot of the rest of us seem to retire when the weather gets worse. Fall riding doesn’t have to mean going on 50-mile excursions, it can be a quick jaunt to the coffee shop, a cruise to the bar, or a mellow Sunday morning ride through town. Here are five accessories we feel are perfect for enjoying fall cycling.

Filson Alaskan Guide Shirt

With relaxed shoulders and large armholes for increased freedom of movement, the Filson Alaskan Guide Shirt is not just a good cool weather cycling shirt, it’s a good everything shirt. Available in a range of colors from solid to plaid, and with two different fits, the Alaskan Guide Shirt is perfect for those brisk Fall rides, or life.

Fyxation Bicycle Wine Caddy

For as amazing as wine is, its bottled shape can be sort of bulky to bring around with you by bike. The Fyxation Bicycle Wine Caddy solves that problem with some leather straps that wrap around your top tube and safely cradle everything from your pinot noirs to your chardonnays and any bottle in-between.

EH Works Essential Tool Roll

As practical as the EH Works Essential Tool Roll is, it’s almost even more practical for other things. Load it up with cutlery for a picnic. Fill it up with brushes or colored pencils. Versatile for the entire year, a tool roll will open up lots of unique storage possibilities, while staying under your saddle and out of the way.

Portland Design Works Bar-ista™

Drinking coffee is already a pretty stereotypically northwest thing to do, but the Portland Design Works Bar-ista™ coffee cup holder really pushes it over the edge. That’s all right, because this thing is perfect for mellow morning cruises after picking up a cup of your favorite coffee, just be careful going over big bumps.

MiiR Vacuum Insulated Bottle

It’s always important to stay hydrated, and it’s actually easier to become dehydrated in the cold. The MiiR Vacuum Insulated bottle is perfect for keeping cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot. Fill it with hot tea, or coffee if you’re from the NW, for a nice warm-up on your ride. Available in 500ml and 700ml sizes, made from BPA-free stainless steel, and able to fit in a regular water bottle cage, this bottle is ready for any weather.
